Location: Darmstadt, Germany Work Regime: Presential Accountabilities: Our client is looking for Aerospace/Software Engineers, Computer Scientist graduates or PhDs (or of another discipline with equivalent experience) Software/Systems Engineer, preferably with experience of Ground Segment, to join their Service Team, working in their client EUMETSAT in Darmstadt. Missions to be supported: Sentinel 3 e 6 and others from Copernicus Programme. The following activities (not limited to) are foreseen: • Collaborate in the maintenance and evolution of vital ESOC ground segment infrastructure components such as EGS-CC, EGOS-CC, and OPEN, while ensuring uninterrupted support to operational missions. In this context, maintain, design, develop, document and test software in the framework of the ground segment domain. • Analysis of EGOS-CC ecosystem/landscape (industrial and user communities, assessment of EGOS-CC/OPEN against provided EUMETSAT criteria). • Prototyping Activities connected to the Sentinel missions, covering defined operational and engineering use cases, having other relevant teams in the loop. • Prototype activities shall focus on deployment, customization, and configuration. Requirements & Qualifications: ▪ Space and ground system engineering processes, system and software life cycles, and standards; ▪ Experience in the domain of satellite Mission Control Systems and in maintaining large-scale software systems in an operational environment, preferably related to high availability (24/7) applications; ▪ Experience in interface management and with CI/CD environment tools; ▪ Knowledge and demonstrated experience in programming languages (Java, C++, Python); ▪ Knowledge of one or more of the following systems EGS-CC, EGOS-CC, and OPEN; ▪ Experience with Linux and Bash scripting. Offer: ▪ Wage package appropriate to the presented experience; ▪ Position type: Full-time regular employee; ▪ Contract directly established with our client.
