The Virtual Forge is an international company with offices in the UK, Portugal, UAE, Canada and the US. We are experts in designing and developing data driven software solutions for the cloud and we are looking for a talented Backend Developer to join our international team. You will be based in our central riverside office in Lisbon, 3 days per week in a hybrid scheme. Role Overview: In this role, the developer is required to have flexibility and to adapt to the client's needs. They must also have excellent communication and organisational skills. They will need to demonstrate evidence of problem-solving and working well under pressure. The ideal candidates will bring an enthusiastic approach, with an ability to estimate and manage their own tasks as the system is built. This is a great opportunity to secure a role with an exciting and rapidly growing organisation. About you: Strong experience with C# and .NET (+4 years experience) Extensive SQL experience (Microsoft Sql Server and/or MySql) Experience in Implementing Automated Test Cases Knowledge and/or experience with: Recent versions of .NET CORE (6 onwards) .NET Framework JAVA/Selenium ASP.NET MVC Web Api / ASP.NET Core Web API Entity Framework Dapper (nice to have) SQL KATA (nice to have) SOAP Web Services XML WCF HTML, CSS & JavaScript Unit Testing Complete end-end life-cycle experience Experience of integration with various different third party APIs Ability to accurately estimate task times Ability to report to the project manager in a concise and clear fashion Ability to manage your own time and plan tasks with the team Ability to take part in team scrums and code reviews, to give and receive feedback efficiently Experience of working with nearshore and remote teams What do you need to do: Send your CV to Mostrar contacto da oferta Gross Salary expectation and availability You should be authorised to work in Portugal.
