Location: Madeira Island (Non-Remote Position) Type: Full-Time, office attendance is 4 days per week, Friday is a WFH day! Job Description: As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will be essential in maintaining and enhancing our office IT structure. You will handle a variety of tasks from domain registration to server management, and you will ensure our network's security and efficiency across over 100 sites. Your expertise in Linux is crucial, as you will be managing systems primarily running on this platform. You will also provide technical support to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for strategic projects. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain the office IT infrastructure, ensuring robustness and reliability. Manage domain registrations, updates, and DNS configurations. Perform regular upgrades and maintenance on the company’s Linux-based server infrastructure. Conduct PCI compliance scans and implement security measures across a large network. Assist the CTO with technical tasks and special projects, offering insights and solutions. Support and optimize email systems under Linux environments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in English with strong communication skills. Mandatory advanced knowledge and experience in managing Linux systems. Familiarity with DNS and email system configurations. Ability to perform tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. PHP coding skills are a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Professional certifications in Linux (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+). Demonstrated experience in network security and PCI compliance scans.
