Wide Scope is a Portuguese company, founded in 2003, whose offer focuses on two areas: Optimization solutions - which combine knowledge areas as information technology, Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence - and an area of Consulting and Outsourcing. To integrate our projects in the UK area we are recruiting:


Java Engineers


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver high quality, reusable and testable software components for highly scalable backend services using Java technology;
• Support the Product Owner with architectural insights and technical knowledge;
• Be part of the team planning and improvement using agile methodologies.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Experienced in working autonomously within and agile environment with automated testing and continuous integration;
• Excellent at solving complex problems;
• A team player always aiming for improvements and for helping others.


ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 2 years of experience using Java, Spring, MySQL, Maven, Git and java application servers;
• Knowledgeable with web architectures and services (HTTP, SOA, REST, JSON, etc.);
• Familiar with highly scalable and performant backend services.
