IoT Software Engineer (m/f)

QiBit is the company dedicated exclusively to the field of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), belonging to Gi Group, one of the world’s leading companies providing services for the development of the labour market.

We are searching for an IoT Software Engineer (m/f) to work directly in our Client – a multinational telecommunications company – integrating the Platforms & Enablers Integration team and be responsible for the development of various IoT products, services, features and framework modules.


Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Product Manager and Business Analysts to understand Business and Technical requirements specifications that can be used to turn proof-of-concepts into customer quality software products;
• Work closely with the architecture and design teams to ensure requirements can be realised and avoid unnecessary engineering costs later in the development process;
• Assume responsibility for the development of various IoT products, services, features, framework modules, and testing functions in order to provide the assurance required before releasing into production;
• Deliver IoT software and manage all aspects of software deployment and continuous integration;
• Provide time and effort estimates for implementing allocated technical specifications;
• Contribute to delivering a consistent and effective end-to-end delivery roadmap.


Main Requirements:

• BSc or MSc level degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications;
• More than 3 years of previous experience in software development or integration and deployment or development & operations roles;
• Professional experience with Java and Oracle technologies (will be valued);
• Strong interest in software development for internet, mobile and/or communications technology;
• International experience in a fast-moving innovative environment (will be valued);
• Excellent organizational & communication skills;
• Good analytic and strategic thinking;
• Curious and interested in technology innovation;
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
