MI/BI Specialist (m/f)

The MI/BI Specialist is a position in the UK & Europe MI Team responsible for the acquisition, transformation and delivery of data via reports, scorecards and analytics to business. The role requirement covers both the technical requirement of collecting and storing clean, consistent and accurate data alongside the delivery of this data and insight to a varied user base. As such we require an individual who is equally comfortable with the technical aspects and dealing directly with a diverse user base. As the UK & Europe MI Team commences on a strategic change transition we have a requirement for an experienced person to help shape the journey. In parallel there is the requirement for this role to support the team delivering the current commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

•70% Solution Delivery
-Assist in the implementation & maintenance of a new MI/BI platform
-Delivery of innovative solutions to UK & Europe user base
-Utilisation of new tools set to deliver innovative solutions
-Develop the reporting framework to enhance the customer experience
-Data Architecture and data provision
-Engagement with UK & European businesses in the delivery of a strategic MI/BI suite

•20% Business as usual reporting
-Report production & trend analysis
-Continuous enhancement to support business plans
-Support the small change process including defining requirements, prioritisation, UAT etc.

•10% Ad hoc reporting
-Defining requirements with the business
-Effective production of data
-Delivery of a high standard user friendly output

Requirements:

•A solid background in Management Information / Business Intelligence – an understanding of both the concepts and can demonstrate multiple delivery projects.
•Technical skills – SQL Server, ETL, Dimensional Modelling.
•Experience of MI/BI Data Presentation tools.
•Data Analytics skills – proven experience of deriving value from data.
•Customer Relationship Management – ability to build productive relationships with end users and deliver robust solutions to them.
•Passionate with a can-do attitude.
•Previous experience using one or more of Tableau, Alteryx and Cognos BI
•Experience of the Insurance sector or Financial Services.
•Previous experience using Microsoft BI tools (SSIS, SSAS & SSRS)
