You can learn more about Novabase here. What are you going to do: We are looking for a Project Manager a to join a Novabase's partner project in an European Instution in Brussels or Luxembourg. What We Value: Project management and IS development methodologies (RUP, PMI, PRINCE2, ), maturity models (CMM, CMMI, ) and control frameworks (COBIT, ); The Open Source Software problematics, its licensing models and organisation of communities; Expert field knowledge of the problematics related to the software security in general; Secure software development. Project management activities following the Commission's internal project management methodology (PM2) including requirements analysis, project planning, project follow up, subcontractor management, stakeholder management, deliverable tracking and risk analysis. Drafting high-level project documentation in English, including regular project progress reports. Organisation of project-related activities including, but not limited to, preparation and chairing of project meetings, aiding in preparation of conferences, presentations, dissemination materials and applying a common look and feel to information arriving from different sources. Application of an internal project management methodology (PM2) to execution of projects. Customisation of the methodology to fit the needs of the projects. Mentoring of outsourced teams regarding the methodology adoption. Proposal of customisable adoption plans for different teams and needs. The experience as stated in the framework contract for the regarded profile. Proven proficiency in English (spoken, written) is a must, basic knowledge of French is an advantage. Project management of high-profile projects, including but not limited to the software development domain, with at least three having budgets exceeding EUR 500,000. Sound experience in projects that have applied successfully well-established software engineering methodologies. Rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working. Presenting in front of large varied audiences. Presentation preparation skills. Drafting skills. Competent communicator. Customer and results oriented individual. Good planner, able to follow more than one subject at a time. Proactive attitude, communicative (i.e. good listener) and customer oriented. Availability leave in Brussels or Luxembourg. Additional qualifications Engineering or Computer Science university degree. Competence in project management / methodology standards: RUP, CMMI, COBIT, PMI, ITIL, Agile. Experience in establishment of contracting guidelines for projects implemented by external parties; A certification in project management will be considered an advantage. Working with Open Source Software projects and developers, contributions to existing projects will be considered a major advantage; Project management, in particular managing multi-annual high-profile projects with several subcontractors of which at least three with a budget exceeding EUR 500 000 (must Have); The software security domain, in particular deep understanding of the practical issues related to software security auditing, security governance and secure coding practices (must Have).
