Spring Professional is hiring a Product Designer (M/F) for Hostelworld Group.

Main Responsibilities

- Design mockups through to finished layouts for web and mobile platforms, working with the product manager, the development team and business stakeholders to refine the design;

- Present design concepts to the team to demonstrate interactive elements and user flow;

- Drive new technologies within the team to help create products with best in class design;

- You will study metrics and feedback with a view to evaluating the usability of mobile apps and websites;

- On occasion print, powerpoint & other design work may be required;

- Coding HTML and CSS.

Experience and Skills

- coding in HTML5 and styling elements using CSS3;

- Some JavaScript coding experience is an advantage;

- Be proficient with Photoshop/Fireworks, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign and PowerPoint;

- Experience in preparing designs for print in EPS vector or PDF format;

- Have a basic understanding of how the technology and platform guidelines impact design decisions on the iOS and Android mobile platforms;

- Have a good understanding of how users interact with applications on mobile devices through gestures and touch;

- Have experience with online UI/UX design within a feedback-driven design process;

- Understand responsive design principles, particularly how responsive layouts behave for different screen sizes;

- Have knowledge of contemporary trends and techniques in web and mobile design;

- Be able to design for maximum usability and site performance;

- Have good brand awareness and an ability to be creative within brand guidelines;

- Have commercial design experience, preferably working on an ecommerce site or mobile application;

- Possess strong communication skills across all mediums;

- Previous experience working with remote teams;

- Proficient in both spoken and written English.
