The Digital Data team is responsible for ensuring correct capture and usage of all data in OutSystems’ tooling ecosystem. The ultimate goal of this team is to contribute with clean, accessible insights and allow OutSystems to: - create better, more customized digital customer experiences - scale internal operations - make better strategic business decisions Data Scientists are the enablers of the digital insight into data, with a strong data-oriented personality. Having a strong knowledge on statistics and keen analytical skills, Data Scientists are able to tackle vast amounts of data and generate value from it. The candidate will initially focus on data mining techniques, statistical analysis and high quality prediction systems integrated with OutSystems products. Senior Data Scientists will explore further within each department and become strategic advisors to senior management, up to C-level management. Responsibilities - Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis - Develop and build predictive analytics model - Predict, quantify, and/or forecast various business metrics - Leverage sophisticated predictive modeling techniques on historical information - Configure, build and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques - Perform data mining using state-of-the-art methods - Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of analysis’ data - Create and present ad-hoc analyses in a clear manner Skills - MSc in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science Informatics or related field - 2+ years’ practical experience with common Data Science toolkits, such as R, Python, data processing, database programming and data analytics - Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. - Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills - Experience with data visualisation tools - Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL - Great communication skills What we have to offer you? - Ping pong tables, free yogurts and fresh fruit everyday, all the coffee you can drink, company parties as fun as a ride to Disneyland – yes, we got that covered.
