We are now recruiting a Senior CICS system programmer for one of our main clients, located in Lisbon.

Tasks:

- Install, upgrade and maintain the CICS and CTG software;
- Create and maintain the CICS regions;
- Administer the CICS regions according to application demands;
- Create and maintain the CICS monitoring infrastructure;
- Provide statistics on usage;
- Investigate and resolve problems in CICS and related áreas;
- Performance review and tuning of the CICSes and CTGs;
- Investigation and evaluation of new products in the área;
- Provide advice and assistance to developers and other support groups on CICS and CTG matters;
- Install and upgrade MQ series;
- Liaise with all relevant MQ partners;
- Use of MQ monitoring tool OMEGAMON for MQ;
- Set up and maintain TSO interface to MQ;
- Performance and tuning of MQ;
- Problem analysis and resolution;
- Run jobs ad hoc to copy queues, backups, empty queues, set/block triggers and queues on a request basis by people testing;
- Input from the MQ support staff on Volume dump backups by the storage/legacy group;
- MQ PROD refresh;
- 2nd level Incident Resolution for CICS and MQ;
- Handle the ITIL processes related to CICS and MQ support;
- Maintain a Knowledge Database;
- Perform system Health Checks;
- Monitor system performance, checking and resolving event logs warnings and errors;
- Publish weekly Reports;
- Technical Change Management;
- Incident and Problem Management;
- Disaster Recovery Management;
- Technical Documentation;
- System Monitoring;
- General Reporting;
- Provide advice and background information regarding architecture and integration recommendations, as well as Project Support Services for the services that are within the scope of the Work Package.
