Kelly IT Resources is recruiting Software Engineers - Backend/APIs (M/F) with different seniority levels, to integrate a multinational client who is leader in online booking, located in Porto.

DESCRIPTION
Kelly IT Resources, owned by American multinational Kelly Services is the business unit specialized in Recruitment & Selection and Outsourcing of Information Technology professionals.

RESPONSABILITIES:
o Develop robust and scalable APIs and Services to support high traffic applications;
o Work across different areas of the software stack;
o Help us transform and modernize our current tech stack;
o Contribute clean, secure and maintainable code to the product;
o Contribute to the evolution of the overall product/system architecture;
o Optimising code for performance and scalability;
o Prototyping and building highly performed and flexible components;
o Estimating features while working closely with technical and business teams at each stage of the development lifecycle;
o Provide guidance, feedback and input on the product roadmap and technical strategy;
o Liaise with internal teams - Systems / Infrastructure, QA and Product to ensure strong execution and implementation.

REQUIREMENTS:
o Object-oriented PHP;
o Strong experience in RESTful API development and XML/JSON processing;
o Strong understanding of most popular design patterns (MVC, SOLID, Dependency injection);
o Experience working in an agile environment and with techniques like Continuous Integration, code reviews;
o Excellent understanding and experience of web application security best practices;
o Experience with version control systems e.g. GIT/Mercurial;
o Excellent analytical / problem solving ability;
o Understanding of software development in terms of business value;
o Ability to engage deeply with our customers and your peers, and to freely give and accept feedback;
o Strong experience in MySQL;
o Understanding of code documentation practices and tools;
o Ability to quickly learn, understand, test, and debug existing codebases;
o Experience with testing tools (phpunit, behat, phpspec) and methodologies TDD, BDD;
o Experience working in Agile methodologies;
o Proficient in both spoken and written English.
