Data Engineer

Challenge

Our client is a data science company turning IOT sensor data into rich insights about people’s behavior and real-time context. You will be a part of a Data Engineering Team, in a fast-paced, high growth environment, integrating complex human behaviour models into a scalable production platform. You will be involved in performance and scalability engineering, developing software engineering components. 

Profile

• Minimum 2 years work experience
• Bachelor or Masters degree in computer science or related field
• Experience programming Java and Python
• Familiar with the Linux OS
• Professional experience with distributed computation frameworks like Kafka, Spark and Hadoop ecosystem and also NoSQL/SQL databases
• Good comprehension of machine learning and data mining
• Fluent in English, Dutch being a plus
• Capacity to work independently
• Learn technologies quickly and implement them
