Senior Backend Java Developer (M/F)

Challenge

Our Client is a multinational consulting firm in the technology sector offering a wide range of solutions and services, including consulting, infrastructure services, implementation, development and maintenance of applications, and outsourcing services. With a total turnover of €375 million in 2017 and a workforce made up of more than 4,000 highly qualified professionals, already has a direct presence on five continents.

This professional will be integrated in research projects for European Commission, which range from electrical engines to catastrophes prevention, water management, and nuclear security, among others.

PROFILE

• EU Citizenship, bachelors degree and fluency in English are mandatory;
• Knowledge of Enterprise and Service-Oriented and Micro-Service Architectures;
• 6 years of proven experience in Java web application development (Java Spring, Java Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate), of which, at least 3 years of development experience with Java Spring and REST API development;
• Good knowledge of Java application servers (particularly Oracle WebLogic);
• Good knowledge of SQL and Relational DBMS, in particular Oracle DB;
• Knowledge of CI/CD applications (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Balsamiq, Maven, Jenkins) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), as well as testing tools (JUnit, SonarQube);
• Experience with Agile software development (refactoring, test-driven development, user story modelling);
• Ability to write clear and structured technical documents;
• Experience in the banking sector is a plus.
