Job Description Summary

The SW Development Team Lead will be part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise grade software systems on top of the Java stack, Python and PHP.
Information Technology has a core responsibility for developing, supporting and protecting the internal software, but also for managing Data Center and protecting Euronext systems from cyber-attacks and data theft.

Role Summary

The selected candidate will be an experienced Development Leader in leading a team of SW Development Engineers working closely with Team Manager, Product Owners, Project Managers and other partners (IT and business) to define strategy/requirements, and lead development team from concept through delivery and subsequent operation.

As an SW Development Team Leader you will have regular communication with the Head of the Department for status/risks and product strategy.

The candidate selected should have a proven track record of shipping complex SW solutions through an agile methodology and will also need to have the ability to dive deep into the understanding of problems in order to help the team to make the right technical decisions for the product and the business, by having a proven track record of working across organizational lines.

It's fundamental that selected candidate can be a good communicator with positive mindset and willingness for challenges.

Key Accountabilities

• Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery;


• Provide technical leadership;


• Identify/encourage areas for improvement within the team;


• Build bridges and encourage collaboration inside of the Department;


• Provide clear reporting/KPI's, keep dashboard and documentation up to date;


• Keep ticketing system updated; build strong delivery roadmap over solid sprint planning;


• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards;


• Maintain high standards of SW quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits;


• Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget;


• Provide third-level support to IT and business users and take part in on-call support for critical applications.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related;


• 5 years of SW Development experience as a Technical Lead;


• Deep understanding of the SW development life-cycle, and a track record of shipping SW on time;


• Passion for SW engineering, quality and innovation;


• Curious, multitask with eagerness to learn/work with multiple technologies;


• Hard Skills: Java and AngularJS, Python or PHP, Linux; AWS and PowerBI will be a plus;


• Knowledge of professional SW engineering practices & best practices for the full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations;


• Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills;


• Thought leader, knowing how to solve the problem, but leading the team to build the solution;


• Experience designing SW architecture for scalability, reliability and performance;


• Fluency in English is required.

• Experience with Scrum or Kanban methodology for Agile SW Development;
