The Junior Linux/Unix Patch Management Administrator is responsible for manage and implement security updates and fix vulnerabilities on Linux and Unix systems throughout the customer infrastructure.The selected professional will be responsible for management, analysis, routing and correction of vulnerabilities in operating system and middleware. This is a position with a hybrid working model with remote and on-site responsibilities at the client's offices in Taguspark (Lisbon). Role Responsibilities: - Identify system features that can be improved and assist in performing security updates and patches to Linux/AIX systems; - Actively respond to monitored server alerts, tuning server configuration as necessary to remediate alerts; - Release the update package, and validate the installation of those updates; - Ensure systems are compliant and establish client-determined security policies on servers; - Apply corrections of user settings, logs configurations, operating system configurations files and other applications configurations files; - Increase the tactical use of automation tools (e.g. Ansible) to improve the day-to-day efficiency of maintaining the general server environment; - Document server configuration and application configuration as needed; - Test and evaluate hardware and software for efficiency and compatibility with existing systems. Role requirements: - Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience as Linux system administrator; - Experience with AIX (nice-to-have); - Experience with Ansible Tower (nice-to-have); - Programming skills (nice-to-have); - Excellent verbal and written communication in Portuguese; - Analytical and problem-solving skills.
